I have been over weight all my life. I have tried many "diets" and as you can see they never worked out. I would always cut out some of my favorite foods and then would end up binging on them. I would also set up rewards and it would always be food. This time I have not cut anything out. I just watch the calories, protein and sodium . I will eat a piece of cake but I watch the serving size and then adjust the rest of the day. I have not had one bing since! I also have set up rewards but not one of them is a food. A new swimsuit, a new outfit in a smaller size, A hair cut at a solon not at the beauty school, and something I want for my scrapbooking/cards.
I had open heart surgery 14years ago and I think it is about time I start helping myself. I raised my three girls by myself since the youngest one was in 3rd grade .I work as a Title 1 E.A. and really enjoy helping kids.
I was at the coast in 1915 and decided it was time for me to think about me and to get healthy! When I got home I joined Sparks and have been on my journey since July 2015.
I have had ups and downs, Stand stills, and victories on the scale and many NSV.

My Goals:

To be able to climb a set of stairs without stopping to catch my breath

Keep my eyes open to my NSV and celebrate them!


My Program:
5% Challenge Diet Commitment to get more protein, keep track of what I eat, and watch the portion size.
When I have a blow out day—— just let it go and get right back on plan the next day
I need to do it my way—- I started listening to this diet— to that diet and tried drinking this..eating that... I really messed myself up. I need to stick on my plan and keep my eyes on me not on others. I will not compare myself to others I need to keep my eyes on me.



Personal Information:
I am 69years old. I have three grown daughters. I work for the school district as a Title 1 EA. I love working with children. Ihave C H F and know I NEED to lose weight


Other Information:
I have for many years done scrapbooking and have also moved to making cards. I hope to do both more as it is fun and relaxing. It also keeps my hands and mind busy and not thinking about food.
My word for 2019 is declutter “ I have made a difference and my summer goal is to declutter my garage! A big job but this stuff has been in boxes for 10 years so it’s time to do something with it.
