Four surgeries in the last two years have set me back a bit. But I've turned the corner and am coming on strong.

The nine years I have been a member have been great. I have learned so much about how to improve myself, from the site itself and the other members that have become my friends. I have come to rely on the encouragement and support that I get from all. I'm grateful for what I have learned and am looking forward to finding new ways to improve myself.

My Goals:
I want to eat and exercise correctly every day. I want to improve myself: learn something new every day, stay in a schedule that is good for me, and help others when I can.

My Program:
I am learning more with each passing day and finding more ways to improve myself. Stress and anxiety have been my biggest problems and I've been working hard to overcome them. I sometimes let myself slack on my schedule and am always working on that.

Personal Information:
I am from Detroit. I lived in Alabama for 14 years, but came back home to help with Mom in 2010. May of 2015 brought me back to Huntsville, AL. I live with my youngest daughter and granddaughter in my oldest's daughter's house. My oldest and her husband live 3 minutes away. My email address is pattyklaver@yahoo.com

Other Information:
I love reading, arts and crafts, sports, and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy spending time on SP.
I am spending a great deal of time with Helena, my granddaughter, and loving every minute of it.

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."

Be grateful for what you have: Each of us has been infinitely blessed - beginning with the gift of life. Whatever may appear to be missing or broken on any particular day, our glass is not half full, it is 99.9% full. More practically, when we feel ungrateful, we become unhappy and stressed. When we choose to feel and express our gratitude, the act of feeling and speaking our thanks creates a happiness within us. The more we express our gratitude, the more we have for which to be grateful.
I want to thank you for reading all my blogs and for your kind and soothing words of which I am very grateful.

emoticon for your much appreciated comment on my "One Light Bulb at a Time!" blog.

Actually, I found your comment interesting --- it lined up with what I have read concerning some appliances now being made to last only ten years --- where in years past a refrigerator was made to last twenty-five to thirty years. Ours are both a good fourteen plus years old & still going strong, so I sure do hope, if what I read is true, that we purchased them during the period that they were made to last. Our chest-type freezer is still going strong after twenty-four years of continual use.

Anyway, I do believe that my blog touches on a most important topic for each American to gain knowledge on & to act responsibly concerning.

    God bless!
