I woke up this morning, January 5th, 2020, weighing more than I have in years, 185 pounds. Over the past 3 months, I have gained about 15 pounds. The last 10 pounds during and after Christmas. I haven't anything in life that would make such a gain explainable. Life is good, just not with the scale. I want to catch this before it is another 15 pounds. I am really hoping for fast on fast off.

April 2, 2020. Well, it wasn't fast on fast off, just fast on. I have lost a little this year. This morning I was 175. I joined the Spring 5% Challenge and I am a Shooting Star. I hope this helps to get me back on track. The world is a different place than it was in January when I first joined Sparks. I am curious to see where it goes during the 8 weeks of the challenge. As much as I want to lose weight, it's not nearly as important as it was before the Covid-19.

September 6th, 2020.

Still 175 pounds. I didn't lose a thing since April. Well, the same 3 pounds about 100 times. We have been living with COVID for almost 6 months. Some countries have done better than others to keep it under control. One thing we all have in common is that we are tired of the restrictions, but saying that, we still have to live with them.

My Goals:
I plan to be 150 pounds by June. ... Skip ahead to April 2. I could still do it. Skip farther ahead to September 6, I didn't come close. But I still trying. I have been told I can be very trying...


My Program:
Healthy food and exercise. I eat little flour, white sugar or red meat. I seldom have any prepared food, take out or restaurant food. I like to walk and walk 3 to 6 miles a day. ... April 2... this hasn't changed much, in fact, I'm not working much, for the next few months, I should be able to do more. September 6th, walking more and eating more. I have joined the Fall 5% Challenge, hopefully that will help get me back on track.



Personal Information:
My weight has been all over the scale. I have battled the bulge my entire life. I have been 250 pounds, and 140. The past few years I have stayed around 170, plus or minus a bit. I am a potter and have a part-time office job. We live in a rural village of about 250 people and I enjoy the slow and friendly pace of small-town living.


Other Information:
I am married. We have a blended family of 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Our kids have moved far and wide and we don't get together nearly as often as I would like. We have fur babies at home, 2 dogs that love to walk. They make it easy to get out there and get my walking in. I walk, they run.
