More than a decade ago I discovered SparkPeople and actually lost 30 lbs while using it. Of course, like many people I did not make an actual lifestyle change so when I stopped working the program I gradually began putting the weight back on.
Well, now I am back because I am pre-diabetic (no history in the family but I have a massive sugar addiction). ...

More than a decade ago I discovered SparkPeople and actually lost 30 lbs while using it. Of course, like many people I did not make an actual lifestyle change so when I stopped working the program I gradually began putting the weight back on.
Well, now I am back because I am pre-diabetic (no history in the family but I have a massive sugar addiction). I have enrolled in the YMCA's Pre-diabetic class to learn new habits and gradually change my lifestyle before my body forces the changes upon me in the hardest of ways.
We were told to begin tracking our food. It doesn't matter what we are eating as long as we are tracking all of it. I think we are meant to learn to pay attention to the labels and what we really are eating. It's a year-long class with a slow, doable approach. Anyway, SparkPeople was, of course, my tracker of choice because it is so very supportive and has all the tools and then some that I could need to succeed!
So hello! I hope to create new supportive friendships with people that can be strong for me when I am weak and that I can be strong for when they are weak. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful evening!

Lose Weight, healthier heart, more stamina, fun clothes! Feel pretty and feminine. To be able to tie my shoes without pain from not being able to breathe while bent over.
My Program:
YMCA Pre-Diabetes Class --- and then COVID shut everything down. So that's on pause for now.
