Rebuilding
I was doing Beachbody workouts on a regular basis until September 2017 when I was diagnosed with a stress fracture in my lower right leg, then my left. After wearing an orthopedic boot for 5 months and staying off my feet I had no muscle left, and started physical therapy to learn to walk again. There were other medical issues hindering my progress, so I can walk slowly on even surfaces for short distances. Hills and steps are difficult. To top it off, not working out left me with no muscle ...

After wearing an orthopedic boot for 5 months and staying off my feet I had no muscle left, and started physical therapy to learn to walk again. There were other medical issues hindering my progress, so I can walk slowly on even surfaces for short distances. Hills and steps are difficult. To top it off, not working out left me with no muscle and weight gain! My new journey is to strengthen the muscles needed to walk normally again while rebuilding muscle all over without causing new injury. It's a tough balancing act, but I have to be somewhat active again to help maintain my health. So I am rebuilding myself!
