Runners Run!
I am OBSESSED with running, everything I do sort of revolves around it. I read every book/training schedule/magazine I can get my hands on. I run to relieve stress, to celebrate good weather or even to get away and clear my head. I am OBSESSED with running, everything I do sort of revolves around it. I read every book/training schedule/magazine I can get my hands on. I run to relieve stress, to celebrate good weather or even to get away and clear my head. Running did not come easy for me, after a year of injury after injury I had a pretty decent year with just minor injuries that never really sidelined me. This current year, I am running stronger and faster than ever. Now it's time to clean up my diet so I can make even greater strides in my performance. I am not blessed with extreme speed or endurance but I have a lot of heart.
My first year or so on spark I lost 30 lbs and I have stayed within my comfortable range since. I have had some ups and downs but overall I am happy with my body and the way I look. I plan to keep holding steady and really focus on improving my triathlon finish times and run racing times. In order to lose the weight, I tracked my cals in and cals out religiously and did quite a bit of calorie cycling, now that I am in "maintainance" I no longer track what I eat but I keep a mental tally ALL DAY LONG (it's exhausting) lol. I still track my cardio and my strength training (if I remember) but that's just so I have some sort of personal log.
My best advice is, use all of the tools here at Sparkpeople, be consistent and keep your eyes on the prize! Losing weight is BASIC MATH, burn more+eat less=weight loss!
Due to lack of funds, my race schedule is light this year.
