I have kept up my fitness activities over the winter, but I am definitely ready to join the Ready, Set, Spring Challenge in my quest for lifelong health and fitness.
I am a long time member of the Red Hat Society, and I love to have fun! But I can’t play all the time.
I have several close relatives who died of obesity-related diseases.
I made a commitment to myself many years ago that would not be my destiny.
Sparkpeople is my go to place ...

Sparkpeople is my go to place to lose some weight and reactivate my exercise routine and add regular strength training without overdoing it and getting really sore muscles.
I am not as young as I used to be, and I need to moderate my exercise and build muscle at a slower pace. I realize now that strengthening muscle mass, especially in the lower body, is very important to prevent falls as we age.

To set up an exercise program of 4-5 days a week and to use my Food Tracker everyday
so I can lose 10 pounds and keep it off.
My Program:
Exercise 5-6 days a week
Do ST 4-5 days a week
Portion control
Eats lots of fruits and veggies
Personal Information:
Love travel, reading, walking in the woods, and all things Victorian. No children, grandchildren, or pets, so I have more time to have fun. I am a retired librarian. I love retirement!
Other Information:
I was in SP a few years ago under another screen name and did participate in a BLC. BLC was a great motivator.
I am ready to do it again!
