It's time to change the world!


I'm ready for the great adventure.
I am 76 but often feel as if I'm still 5! Where did all the years go?
I retired from the US EPA in 2001, but still do a bit of part time consulting. I live in DC for about 24 years but I am really from NY. From Brooklyn! I never think of myself as anything but a New Yorker. I live with my dear husband. We have been together for 43 years. This tear he went to live in a residence for Alzheimer patients.
I have a son, a DIL and two ...

    I sure identify with your affiliation with big cities and your work with EPA. I worked for EPA in Boston, but that was actually pretty dull at my low office-worker level, so I went to work for MIT instead, where things are always hopping. I enjoyed keeping my eyes open and experiencing what these groups were accomplishing, supporting them in any simple way I could.

    So sorry about your husband and his condition, which seems to me even worse than physical frailty. The blessing of the disease is that the emotions are the last to go, so he will, I presume, remain close to you.

    It's great that you are keeping fit through SparkPeople, which gives us strength in so many ways. Keep up the good work!
