Introduction Text I'm trying to stay healthy and fit so I can function. I need to do things like clean out the attic and go through closets. I found that I couldn't lift boxes or climb as well as I used to. That motivated me to get moving and through diet change and a year of the gym, I've lost 40 lbs. while adding muscle. My philosophy had been to eat right and keep increasing activity and the weight would fall wherever it should. I finally put a goal weight of another 5 lbs to help me finish whittling my middle.

My goal at this point is to keep weight off and get stronger but mostly I want to reduce my waist size. It is being very stubborn.

I try to eat mainly fruit, vegetables and protein. I go to the gym 3 to 5 times per week and keep varying my routines. Spark has inspired me with some new exercises.

I live in the Kinston area of NC and work as an accountant.

We have 4 Australian Shepherds and we love them all. Bobbiesue is the newest addition to the pack.
