In 2011, I did so well with Spark People, then my husband left for Afghanistan and rapidly I fell out of the good habits. I went in depression but with the help of SAM-e, vitamin D, and Counseling I rode that wave. My huband came back, life went back to normal. I have over 2 years gained back the 30 that I lost which is a bummer but it could have been worse.

Then I had a total hysterectomy and bladder repair. My body pretty much works like it is supposed to now, I have some sore joints but a little anti inflammatory takes care of that so I have no more excuses.

I have balanced hormones, good food to eat, time to exercise and no more excuses.

I am near the end of my first year as an Independent Mary Kay Consultant and it has been fabulous. I want to look better for Career Conference in a little less than 2 months. So next up is a healthier me.

We are taking a 2 week Europe trip of which 5 days will be riding a bike 25-30 miles a day - I have been working on building my stamina the last 2 months.

Fitness Minutes: 9,371

My Goals:
These have changed somewhat since I first started so I am changing them here.

I would like to be in a size 14/16 and look good in my clothes.

I want to drink at least 8 cups of water a day.

I want to burn 6000 extra calories a week this summer and 4000-5000 this upcoming school year.

I want to log my food daily and stay within my ranges.

I want to be more active.

I would like to be able to climb a climbing tower or wall to the top when all is said and done.

My Program:
I am trying to eat healthier and more whole foods My goal is to just become more active as well.

That is all true but what I am now doing is eating within my calorie range and exercising 1000 calories every day 6 days a week - that may have to change when school starts but I am going to try to keep it going.

My program is there is no food I CAN'T have but every food I have must be logged and counted and fit within my day. I must log it and own it and accept the consequences for it.

I feel that exercise is the total key for me.

I also take 50,000 mcg of Vitamin D twice a week and 2000 a day on the off days and 75 mcg of Generic Synthroid for my hypothyroid.

Personal Information:
I am a wife and mother of 3 boys ages 14, 18 and 22 (out of the house and state). I am a teacher. I am a Senior Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. I am extremely involved in theater, both by myself and with my family. I have fought my weight since I was a teenager.

Other Information:
This is about weight loss because of course I would like to lose weight but it is more about changing my body shape and getting healthier and learning new habits and being accountable for my body and my behavior.

    Thanks for stopping by my blog today. You asked how much weight I have to go. About 35 more pounds to reach my goal weight. I am excited. I had a challenging weekend at the retreat for eating. But the spiritual renewal was great! I really saw the trigger for my bad eating during the retreat and I will continue to pray about stress and pressure in my life. Thanks for your support and encouragement. emoticon
