    I am soooo not skin and bones. That could be a reason why black women stay overweight. They don't get the pressure from others to lose weight. lol!
    I'm going to put my measurements down like you did and you'll see that most of mine are bigger than yours. Your eyes are deceiving you!

    I've been struggling with weight loss since 2002. I think that article i facebooked to you explains it. The body gets used to being a certain weight, and will fight against you if you go to far away from its comfort zone. That's why, a woman who was 200 pounds, lost weight and now weights 150, will have to eat a couple hundred calories less than a woman who has been 150 pounds all of her adult life, just to maintain the same weight.

    Most of the people that kept their weight off continue to exercise at least an hour 6 days a week. And they also watch their calories. THAT IS A VERY DIFFICULT THING TO DO! That's why we have been at it since 2003. Maintenance is the hardest part if you don't do a complete lifestyle change and eat healthy a majority of the time, which I think becomes much easier when you have your own place and money to afford healthy food. Healthy food is delicious and creative, but it can be expensive when your on a budget. Like almonds cost weight more than a bag of chips. You can get a huge box of frozen popsicles for the price of a pint of strawberries. I admit that I go through months where I eat whatever I want and stop caring. Then the weight comes back. Actually, I think maintenance will be easy when your independent, stress free, don't have people in your house with ice cream and cake to distract you, and you make a decent amount of money to splurge on delicious healthy foods.

    Thank you for adding that comment to my page, so that it showed up in my email, which reminded me that I am on a diet, which further reminded me that I been eating horribly, which then made me aware of my cravings for salt, barbeque, chips and ice cream. I must OVERCOME THESE CRAVINGS!

    I had a horrible lunch, if you want a hamburger and fries get it from McDonalds and not Burger Kings, you will save yourself 150 calories.

    I think we should use the spark points system to stay motivated. Let's make it a goal to get at least 15 spark points each day, from logging in, tracking our foods, and reading articles to make sure we stay motivated as to why we are eating right.
