Well I've been around for 3 years now. The initial 20 lbs. are off again. Way back in the beginning: The harder I tried the more challenges I faced- I have persevered despite no losses showing on the scale and learned to see other measures of my success. Being diabetic, my blood sugar is a major indicator of successful results. When I started on SP, my bs were in the 13-15 range for early a.m, now I have my AIC go down to 6.9, and I'm still here and getting motivated again. So, there are successes other than on the scale.

My Goals:
To get my sugars under control with diet and exercise so I don't have to take any more meds or go on the needle for as long as I can avoid it.
Dec. 09 - a.m. bs was 13
Feb. 10 - a.m. bs was 7.8
May 10 - a.m. bs. was 6.1
July 2013 AIC - 6.9
Sept 2016 AIC 9.8
Well, now it's 2017 and I had to acknowledge that my body needs the help of insulin in November 2016. So, now my goals are to get a balance of carbs/pro/fat and healthy blood sugars...
My Program:
Do Walk Away the Pounds or walking outside weather permitting at least 5 days a week.
Track calories and stay with SP range...

Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance! 2017 and I am back again... up and down the same 5 lbs, this time on the higher side of 200, depressing since I had stayed just under 200 for almost a year. Slim is where I wanted to be in 201 & 2011! Never happened, plateaued for a long time and gave up... got off track, but never left, so am back on track again!!! Make 2012 my year! So far, did finally lose 25 lbs. over the summer, but have found about 11 of it so far, it didn't hide g

I eat my cottage cheese plain or with fruit. A lady that I met recommended heating it with vanilla and cinnamon and eating it on toast with a little sweetener. I may try that.
