I've been on and off SP several times over the years. I like the idea and the program, but I don't always feel I have much (if any) support. It takes me a bit to get engaged and initiate conversation until I feel comfortable. I don't always feel that people want to hear what I have to say. I am trying to overcome this part of myself. I am the mother of 2 girls (17 and almost 16), a homeschool mom, the neighborhood mom to all their friends, and a foster mom (no placement right now). We love animals - we currently have 1 hamster, 2 leopard geckos, and 3 cats. Our dog just recently had to be put down due to cancer. I will soon be planting my 2nd official garden in the next few weeks. I can't wait! It's a raised garden and there are 3 sections, with a place to put plants in containers - like some cat grass. I also have an area that I will be planting flowers (bee feed). I will be growing cucumbers (both pickling and slicing), bush beans, carrots, buttercrunch lettuce, Roma tomatoes, snap peas, and maybe zucchini and summer squash. We also have some strawberry plants this year! The only time I have ever really eaten healthy has been if someone else (ie my grandmother- bless her soul, she tried to teach me) did the cooking. I will choose fruits and veggies when offered, but I don't normally prepare meals that way on my own. This habit has, unfortunately, been passed on to my girls. I want to change that for us now. I have a few side hustles, selling for 3 companies- products that I use and love. Part of the reason I started selling is to get myself out of my comfort zone, talking to people more and not being so reserved.

My Program:
I don't exactly have a specific diet program, but I am interested in learning more about the Mediterranean Diet. My youngest and I are learning to garden- this will be our 2nd year. We would like to expand on it this year, growing a bigger variety of fruits and vegetables.
