Seems I was here back in Apr 2012. I didn't stay long enough to give SP or myself a chance to succeed.

Since then I have become heavier (very obese) and totally unfit. So, I joined 19Apr17, to become healthy, happy and fit. I have mentally prepared myself to eat healthier, watch quantities and track everything for the rest of my life.

Update 22Jun17:

So, it's been a couple of months and weight is slowly coming off. I've been staying within 1200-1500 cal range and am rather frustrated the weight doesn't come off faster. In fact, last few days I've gained. However, I stand strong as I will either lose this weight and keep it off or die (whichever comes first). I will always track everything that touches my lips for the rest of my life as I know from my past experience I would gain it all back if I were to stop - not happening again.

I've just begun to exercise and while I don't like exercise of any kind I am doing my best to get up and do something even if it's just 10 mins on my treadmill. My goal is to eventually like exercising, but if I just do it then that will be good enough.

I really like SP and all the tools, information, but most of all the wonderful people I'm meeting here. I was wondering where all God's children were and I'm finding them here on SP and am comforted to know they're throughout the world. I was beginning to think my family was one of the very few left seeking to put God first in our lives and do our best to do His Will and not our own.

My Goals:
To become healthy and fit. To always track food/water intake. To somehow get myself moving and make it part of my daily life in order to be truly healthy and fit. I know the benefits of eating correctly and exercise. I need to do this for my loved ones and myself.

Personal Information:
God blessed me with my most cherished gifts of my husband/best friend (44yrs 9Jun17) and our two remarkable and loving daughters along with their families which total up to 10 precious grandchildren and counting. My family is my life and I can't thank God enough for each and every one of them. I pray each day God protects them, keeps them healthy and safe and always focused on and close to Him.


Other Information:
I despise exercise of any kind - I enjoy being a couch potato - something I know I must change!
So, if eating properly isn't difficult enough, making myself exercise (even walking) is where my greatest of all difficulty lies.

    Good Morning! I am so proud of you for starting to exercise! I think that the hardest step is just getting started, but YOU are worth it! I started very slowly for a short amount of time and have been working on building the length and intensity of workouts. You can do this, too - one step at a time.

The Centers for Disease Control states that almost everyone needs to eat more fruit and vegetables. Substituting fruit and vegetables for higher-calorie foods can be part of a weight loss strategy. Keeping fresh produce on hand helps achieve this goal, but frozen and sometimes even canned will work also. So make the healthy eating rule of eighty / twenty work for you and eat in moderation. The Cooper Clinic says, “it is about moderation, NOT deprivation.”
