2008 -- I lost my husband & daughter in a fatality accident. I struggled for over a month in and out of the hospital to stay alive from the injuries I sustained
2009 - I topped the scale for the first time in my life at 200. I got a personal trainer and had him thru 2011
2010 - Something was "off" with my body and I was still struggling to lose weight. None of the doctors could figure out what was wrong and kept telling me "Oh just lose weight" I topped the scales at my heaviest of 233
2011 - We moved to Florida and on Oct 23rd I started using Spark again.
2012 - June of 2012 I was diagnosed with PCOS, metabolic syndrome, & insulin resistance. On Oct 23rd of that year, 1 year into erjoining Spark I was down 30 pounds, (39 overall)
2013 - I lost a few pounds at the beginning of the year. Then for 6 months I plateaued. Finally over the course of Sept - Dec I lost 10 pounds
2014 - This was a stressful year with a lot going on. I hit 170-ville at the beginning of the year and maintained it until mid July. From mid July until the end of the year I gained back 17 pounds of the almost 60 I had lost.
In December of that year I completed my first official 5K race in 84 minutes, walking.
2015 - From January until mid April I yo yo ed the same 3 pounds. Then after doing some research late one night I realized that 2 of my hormonal imbalance conditions (insulin resistance & metabolic syndrome) were one in the same, a carbohydrate intolerance.
APRIL 24, 2015 -- I started Atkins at 196.4
The rest of 2015 wound up being a nightmare but a blessing in disguise. My 7 year relationship ended without warning. I spent some time in a psych hospital and outpatient therapy to deal with my depression, anxiety, & PTSD.
However the year ended on a good note! I spent Christmas with my late husband's parents.
