food and money - check out my blog post for 5th October for a bit more info. I have been working on my emotional relationship with food, and emotional behaviours can relate to money as well. Here's a link to an article by Dean Anderson that was one of my lightbulb moments!

We seem to be doing something like "Telephone Tag." I just saw your comment on my quilt. And no, I didn't make my Xmas goal on the quilt... it still isn't done. Mainly for the reasons we discussed; I have a hard time getting upstairs to quilt, and I keep making small quilts that are more immediate. Right now in addition to my daughter's quilt, I'm making one for her oldest daughter who's getting ready to leave for college next fall.

I'll be 70 this year, so I know about the losing mobility part... though I've been amazed at what I CAN do since joining SP.

We just got back from Missouri, house hunting. We'll be an hour away from daughter and husband and their 5 kids.... for once, we'll be close to grandkids. Then back here to my more beautiful kitchen than anything we saw there. We love this house. Texas kitchens and bathrooms aren't matched in other places!

Thanks for keeping the conversation going, albeit in fits and starts!

Thank you, LadyBug. It has been a long time since I looked at this so I didn't comment earlier. Yes, I am still struggling with the time for quilting, and still struggling with the weight!

There was a good time when my kiddos were finally out of baby stage and we could camp and canoe. We learned how and I became pretty good at canoeing, solo canoeing and some kayaking. I got to love getting away on a river, a weekend on a river makes you feel as if you have been in a different world. Now I have lost that fitness necessary to do that well (core strength). Also you have to have weekends off to join friends to get to rivers to safely do river sports. My husband does not have weekends off and so that really put a damper on this sport for us. I really miss it. This river trip we try to do every few years when the family is together in Colorado. My baby girl (45) and I were the ones that loved it the most. good years and good memories. At 71 I am not as flexible as I should be for the sport.

I've added you as a friend. Loved your comment (in the quilter's group, maybe?) about trying to get over the idea you MUST have your chores done before you sew. I'm struggling with this as well. Lately, I've been sewing for 45 minutes, doing chores for 15 minutes. The idea is then to go back up and sew, but I'm getting captured by either other tasks, or the computer (BAD GIRL!!!!) As I'm making a really complicated quilt for my daughter (goal: Xmas), I don't have the time to mess around, but it still feels like fun instead of task, so I delay....

Also.... on my bucket list is going white water rafting! It would definitely be a challenge for me; I get frightened at normal car traffic! Congratulations on your feat!
