Introduction Text "It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task, which more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome." William James I need an attitude adjustment. Over the last year I gradually reverted to my old eating habits and regained 10 of the 20 pounds I lost. Instead of a negative attitude focused on what I don't want--to regain weight, outgrow my clothes again, feel old and frumpy and out of shape--I need to focus on the positive. I am empowered, not deprived. I will get up and move every day. I will not eat after dinner. I will reach my goal weight and maintain it. I will have the strength to run up a flight of stairs without passing out. I will not beat myself up for setbacks. I will live my life and be happy and healthy, and let the good inside me flow outward to touch those around me.

My short term goal is to fit into the clothes in my closet. Long term goal is to grow old without depending on medication. Most health problems of the people I know are directly related to poor choices.

I exercise and drink 4+ liters of water every day. I am trying to get in the habit of keeping a food journal. I want to cut back on soda and eating in front of the TV.

My name is Teresa Slack. I write Christian fiction from my home in southern Ohio. My husband Ralph and I have an extended family of 3 kids and 3 grandkids. We are currently empty nesters (highly recommended) and share our home with two rescue dogs, Molly and Angel.
