hi there--thanks for you comments about my slates. LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR PHOTOS!!!! my eyes are crying to see crocus or at least even a patch of grass right now.
isn't is amazing how much spring means to you when you become a gardener? all my garden friends are posting pictures of spring flowers and straining their eyes looking for any sign of it. I became so desperate I have been buying fresh flowers for the house and when Panera had a cupcake decorated with a daffodil I very nearly bought that too!

Normally I would soak it hot salty water. But - the pharmacist said to not get it wet, I'm showering with plastic bags on that foot. We're in Thailand, and, well, the water is likely full of bacteria. So I'm staying out of water (and the ocean) for two weeks or so. I wash it with sterile saline solution, so the salt is helping. (And in Thailand, pharmacists are like physician assistants, so we went to the one next to our hotel, instead of going all around looking for a dr. I had her look at the foot after a week of treatment - she agreed the infection is gone, it's healing well, and said to stay out of the water for a while more.)
