Sweet Florida T
One of the only things in this life we have any control over whatsoever is our weight and fitness level. I turn 62 years old this summer and I'm determined to feel fit and healthy by then. I don't want to live the rest of my life wishing I was able to do things that a fit person can do.
There is no perfect time to get started. There is no magic formula, pill or diet to shed the extra fat for me. Only I can do it by having faith in myself that I can do it first of all, secondly ...

Only I can do it by having faith in myself that I can do it first of all, secondly being as consistent as possible until I reach my goal and transition into maintenance, and lastly never giving up!!
Here's to a happier 2021 to everyone!

My Goals:
I've yo-yo'd for years now and so over the emotional roller coaster that goes along with that.
I've learned a lot of lessons over the years and I now know that moderation is the key. No more crazy fad diets, excessive exercise or anything unhealthy.
My goal this year is to be kind to myself and slowly but steadily get to my goal weight of 135 to 140 lbs. I'm 5'5" - I think that's just the right weight range to be fit and healthy but not skinny which is what I plan to be within the next year so that by the time I'm retired, I can travel and explore without having to sit anything out because I'm not fit enough to do it.
My Program:
Being kind but firm with myself.
Shedding the excuses so I can shed the fat!
Getting some sort of exercise in every day! Getting outside to enjoy nature.
Walking, strength training, body weight exercises, dancing, yoga and doing my own yard work will be a part of my life from now on.
Eating delicious and nutritious food most of the time with a treat every now and then being careful to track even when I get off track. lol
Keeping an eye on the scale but using other tools to measure progress as well.
This is a journey with all of the twists and turns that entails.
I'm ready!
