This is it! Life is CHANGING... And I LOVE IT!
Today is Sunday, May 30, 2010
and I am back up to 145lbs... That just sucks :-( I am so upset and disappointed in myself. I've kept up the exercise for the most part for the past year and a half but the eating has gone down the tubes (my tubes, right to my tummy! lol). I need to put an end to this NOW so I don't end up back to my original weight or even higher.
TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!

My name is Renee and I'm a happily married 40 year old mother of 4 and we live in BC, Canada.
I have struggled with being "chubby" most of my life. There have been a couple of times in my adult years where I went on a health/fitness kick and lost quite a bit of weight and looked awesome but for some stupid reason or another, I'd lose interest and then go back to my old ways.
Things are going to change this time. I'm done with flip flopping all the time and I'm determined and committed to changing my life for the better and forever! This is not just a health/fitness kick but a new way of living - a new lifestyle. I want this to stick really bad. Getting more involved here will definitely be beneficial to my overall success and that's what I intend to do! Right here, right now, forever and ever. AMEN!

Just for info...
I just found out about BMR and calorie deficits... Looks like I have a BMR of 1324 and because I am moderately active my body needs 2053 calories to maintain my current weight of approx. 130.

My Goals:
UPDATE Dec.28/09:
After losing 30 lbs this year, I've gained back 15 lbs or so. Starting NOW, I intend on losing the 15 lbs and maintaining that for life!
*Lose 20lbs and then see if I want to lose more... UPDATE: Lost 20lbs and now am on a maintenance program. (as per my doctor!) UPDATE: changed my mind! Want to get into the 120's if I can and then maintain...! Almost there - woohoo!
*Cardio 6-7 days a week for at least 40mins. - more if I can.
*Full body workout with weights (at home) at least 3x a week.
*Keep my calorie intake to approx. 1800 calories
*Reach for fruit instead of "junk" snacks
*Drink 8 glasses of water a day
My Program:
Exactly what's listed above. For Cardio I am walking/jogging on my treadmill. Training for the C25K in 9 weeks right now. Doing an assortment of workout videos online - Ballet Strength workout, Cardio Yoga, Walking with Leslie, etc. All on Exercise TV - and free too!
For strength training I have developed my own program (from a variety of sources) and spend about 90 mins., 3x per week.

I live in a small community in Southern BC, Canada. We have been here since December 2004. I am originally from Powell River, BC, a small town on the Coast.
I am married to the most wonderful man alive - Casey - and together we have 2 lovely children, Kaden (5 yrs) and Karissa (4 yrs). I also have a smart and beautiful 15 yr old daughter, Jade, and a handsome and talented 20 yr old son, Joshua. I am a stay at home mom.
Very passionately Christian (Catholic). I enjoy exercising and eating healthy, cooking, woodworking and painting. Love reading and watching a good movie.
Fav stations: EWTN and Salt & Light (Catholic Television)! Hooked on a few "Reality TV", shows such as Survivor, American and Canadian Idol and The Apprentice.
We also love to go camping and do alot of that in the summers.
