Remember when it comes to food - everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial.
I'm in my 60's now and have been struggling with my weight my whole life! I can remember being called names when I was 8 years old because of my weight. It's high time I did something about it that lasts more than a few days or a few months. With the help of SparkPeople and the support and motivation from you all, I know I can do it this time.

I've been on SparkPeople for years. It's high time I got serious about getting healthy.I'm getting back on the wagon, going to track my food and fitness again. Being accountable is the only answer.
I read this description someone said about himself. I describes be so well, stole it for myself, modified slightly:
Educated, progressive, liberal, optimistic, gently cynical, occasionally romantic, mostly tolerant, mostly patient, well-read, LGBTQ-ally, Canadian open-minded thinker. I try to learn something every day. I appreciate intellectual curiosity when it occurs. I believe that a good laugh is worth almost anything.

My Goals:
I plan on losing more than 100 pounds so I'm going to be here awhile. I'm going to attack it this time from all the angles, not just food, not just exercise, not just emotions. Stick with me and watch me get to my goal weight and stay there.
My Program:
Walking, aquafit, journaling, trying to eat better and tracking my eating, checking back here every day.
I recently switched from Saxenda to Ozempic and stuck with Contrave to battle the cravings. So far, they're working, as long as I control the nausea.
Personal Information:
I'm from Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto. I was born in New York but came to Canada with my family when I was 11 years old. I'm a single mother of two grown sons and want to see my sons and grandchildren grow up.
Other Information:
Tigger is my hero. He's the original optimist. If it's not fun, why do it? It's fun or you need to make it fun.
We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Watch your thoughts, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character. Watch your character for it becomes your destiny.

You can be the hammer, making things happen, or you can be the nail that sits there and gets pummeled over and over. It's time to start being the hammer. A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.
