What's up, Spark People? I'm Christy and I am on my quest to find the "mini-Me" that I KNOW is lurking inside of this tired & overweight body. I have two beautiful kids who have never seen the mini-me and who have a mom that is tired all the time. I want to teach them better habits by changing my own first. I want to be an example for them of how to live a healthy life so they never struggle the way I've struggled. I do have hypothyroidism, which makes it tough, but I am learning about my condition and ways to optimize my treatment so I am looking forward to the pounds melting away soon. I'm happy to have found this site....IT ROCKS! I go!

My Goals:
I will be healthy & live a long life. I will have a healthy heart & never will have people be able to guess my age because I'm so active & I can keep up with people 30 years younger than me. My starting line for that goal is reaching 140 lbs.

My Program:
Plant-based, vegan lifestyle (high raw) - Google "Forks Over Knives"

I want to really concentrate on fitness. I walk/jog 45 min. a day and do yoga 3-5 x a week. I eventually plan to include strength training into my fitness plans.

Personal Information:
I'm crazy, funny, enjoy making people laugh and determined to lose this weight and win the battle over my thyroid (hypo).

Other Information:
I like the internet, being a work at home mom, reading, music, sign language and singing. I am the female front of an all male band. :)

    OMG!!! I saw ur comment about the raw thing. Is there a raw group or site? Would love to join! The school thing is off and swinging but so far so good. I messed up a little yesterday b/c of a change in plans, so I am trying to stick to my plan today 100%. I have to go grocery shopping soon though or I really will be on a diet! :) I didn't have time to go to ur blogs this morning, but I hope you are doing well and have a great day today!!!

    Sounds like you have had some good days! Eating well, exercising, keeping stress low (is that possible?:), and getting sleep is so energizing. Good work out of you!
    I have been turbo jamming since last spring..that is what introduced me to Beachbody and coaching. Do you use the website?
    So how is ChaLEAN Extreme? You still working on that?
    I hope you are having a great holiday season..I def want to chill out and learn to ENJOY the holidays with all the wonderful people I have around.
