On the train to maintain.

If I can keep my weight within range (never beyond 119lbs) for 12 months, then I'll know I'm in it to win it.

Will take it one week at a time.

I lost 151lbs in 14months. (Highest weight was 268lbs, I'm now 117lbs).

Overall Health Goal: Maintain below 54.5kg + Get Moving + Self-confidence and Kindness + Try New Things! + Let Go of Worries and Anxieties + Push Myself + Follow Through

- I am enjoying the benefits of health and I want to keep on enjoying.
- I want to be physically strong. Exercise makes me feel good and it strengthens my body.
- I want to raise my self-esteem so that I can become a productive, contributing member of society.
- I want to be good, gentle and kind person. I want people to see my good heart.
- I want to do more so I can be more.
- I want to empower myself.
- I want to be a calmer person.
- I want to step up my game.
- I want to follow through on my commitments.
- I want to lead a balanced lifestyle.

Added motivation: Maintenance Reward Fund
- Drop Php20 for every day that I’ve stayed within range
- Drop Php100 for every week that I’ve stayed within range (7 consecutive days)
- Allowing myself to just set aside a part of my savings instead of dropping money in my jar everyday.

As of March 31, 2012: I should have Php 3,300 ($76) in Maintenance Reward Fund. – I owe myself some money! I signed up for a save up mechanism as part of my payroll account. It automatically transfers part of my salary to an account that I can’t withdraw from unless via file transfer. Another plus is that it’s an interest earning account!

Added motivation: Bi-weekly reminders of maintenance target dates programmed into my IPhone calendar (with alerts!)
Added motivation: SparkPeople Challenges, Trophies and Points!

- Food:
o Plan Weekly Menu in advance – before the week ends
o Track daily food intake in New You Forum and IPhone
o Take photos of at least one meal a day and post it.

- Exercise: Get at least 250 minutes of movement per week
o Log in after each workout and note how it makes you feel – Use exercise notes section of Spark People
o 1-min plank – 7x a week
o 30-sec bridge – 7x a week
o Complete Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred.
• Level 2 with 3lb-weights (April 1 – 10)
• Level 3 with 3lb-weights (April 11 – 20)
• Level 1 with 5-lbs weights (April 21 – 30)

- Mind and Spirit:
o Attend Mass 2x a week – once on Sundays
o 5 minute meditation before I go to sleep – 3x a week
o Declutter Mode – throw out 1 thing – 7x a week
o Read 10 pages of my current book everyday.
o Read one news article per day.
o Greet all Facebook friends on their birthdays.
o Blog at least 3x a week – Tumblr (reblogs not counted!), Sparkpeople
o Project Beautiful: Work Day Make Up Habit – 5x a week
o Start a once a week lunch-in habit – Prepare a home-cooked meal for my mom.

April Bucket List

• Run/walk a 5K and clock in below 45 minutes.
• Finish Level 1 of wall climbing.
• Go on a food tour of Chinatown.
• Try out local delicacies.
o Fresh Spring Roll aka Lumpiang Sariwa from Bailon’s
o Rice Cakes aka puto from Aling Remy’s
• Increase my weights to 5-lbs!
• Clean out the refrigerator. Seriously!
• Join a cooking class.
• Take a martial arts/boxing class.
• Start working on my New Year Photo project. Collect photos of myself taken on January 1st of every year I’ve been alive. I should get at least half by month end.
• Exercise outdoors.

    If you've been very strict, maintenacne can be a little harder because you probably can't or don't want to live forever with no flexibility. But if you've been using a plan that helps you work in moderate amounts of luscios foods occasionally and has you exercising in a way that fits your lifestyle without overwhelming effort, then you just keep doing what you're doing. I keep concentrating on eating little enough that I don't get too full and I get hungry in a reasonable time for my next meal. But I'm also not aiming at the low end of the BMI scale. emoticon
