My 5K is complete, it was my first one in 138 days. I’m so proud of myself!See this image largerDay 1 of being back on track and my husband is joining me this time! Had a great workout, a healthy breakfast and this beautiful healthy salad for lunch. I love being back on track!See this image largerI’ve been up since 345 😴😴😴 and since I couldn’t go back to sleep, I waked a 5K! That last .6 mile was horrid. But I did bring my 5K time down from 22’49” to 22’20”, so I’m psyched about that. Here’s to a long day.See this image largerMy husband and I have had a great time out in San Diego. We fly back to Wisconsin tonight. So I’m back on track tomorrow. The picture is the view from our beautiful hotel room.See this image largerI’ve been back on track this week and only had 1 binge. I’m proud of myself for my progress this week. I’ve proven to myself that I can control my eating if I’m trying and that I don’t need to exercise hard every day to see results. 7.4 lbs down. 🎉🎊See this image largerNot bad for 13 minutes. First strength training workout in awhile, legs and abs. I still can’t do upper body work because I’m still healing from surgery but it felt great to get the abs and legs done. Doing some cardio after I have coffee and breakfast and then maybe another set of this strength later. #strengthtraining #strongissexy #girlswholift #startingthemorningright #transformingmylife #edrecoverySee this image largerNice short cardio session with my husband before lunch and a busy afternoon/evening.See this image largerOne week binge free! This is what happens when I’m mindful of my hunger cues and make healthier food choices. I need to work on getting closer to my calorie goal each day but I’ll take this as a win. I don’t meet with the dietician this week because of my residency schedule, so no weigh-in next week. But I’m excited to see her in 2 weeks, share my strides with her, and to weigh-in. #7daysbingefree #edrecovery #bedrecovery #weeklystats #transformationinprogressSee this image largerGreat strength training session this morning before my residency session. I’ll be talking a walk after my session and then again this evening after dinner. And tonight I’ll get in a little cardio. #girlswholift #edrecovery #iloveworkingoutSee this image largerShort cardio session in the 80 degree weather. These shin splints are horrid though. I can’t walk far before my foot is numb or my shins have a lot of pain. My husband and I just joined the YMCA, so I’ll be able to start swimming. Hopefully rest from outside walking will aid in the healing process.See this image largerShort session of cardio kickboxing, I’ll be doing another session later today. I’ve come to realize that my stamina for some exercises is only 10-15 minutes but that’s okay. I weigh more than I did in the past, so my body has changed some. I’m moving in the right direction though and that’s what matters. I do 2-3 sessions of working out each day and that still equals my exercise goal. And today will mark 10 days of being binge free!See this image largerI was able to get in a quick lifting session in after a stressful advising appointment about my dissertation and before getting to work on a paper. Not too bad! Plus, I was finally able to use light weights with my upper body. It’s been about 3 weeks since my carpal tunnel surgery and I’m finally starting to regain my strength. I’m super excited that I was able to use 5 lb. weights.See this image largerThe combination of an anti-inflammatory and stretching made the shin splints a lot better. I wasn’t in excruciating pain by the time my walk was over and I was able to get in some lifting once I got home from my walk. I’m feeling good after my workout even, so that’s an improvement. I’ll be taking another walk later, weather permitting.See this image largerMy husband wanted to order out, so I got a chicken Caesar salad from a local place. Tomorrow will be better. #noexcuses #fitnessfeatsSee this image largerWhile my husband slept in for another hour, I got this done. Today I’m not letting myself go through the day and create an excuse to not work out. It’ll be a busy day but at least I started out on a good note. #fitnessfeats #noexcusesSee this image largerI haven’t done legs/abs yet because the fibromyalgia kicked in and I need some rest before lifting. Overall, I’m feeling great with my cardio session this morning. #fitnessfeatsSee this image largerMy husband wanted to take a walk this afternoon. I can’t wait to try swimming in the lap pool and lifting as well. 💪🏻#fitnessfeatsSee this image largerOne of my favorite things to do is make some of my favorite recipes healthier. I’ll consider this a win for a snack.See this image largerMy keto friendly plate for meal 2: mashed cauliflower with butter, cheese and crumbled bacon, pork roast, and 3 more pieces of bacon. I have a plan of action though and will stick to it.See this image largerProud of myself! Day 7 of this new lifestyle is complete and I’ve successfully been able to keep below 50g of carbs each day. I get to weigh-in tomorrow, so I’m excited to see my results over the past 2 weeks 💪🏻💪🏻See this image larger3 hours and 15 minutes to go 💪🏻💪🏻 Plus, I get to weigh-in in just a few minutes. I’m excited to see my results over the past 2 weeks.See this image largerThe results are in! I’ve lost 6.7 pounds over the past 2 weeks and 45.5 pounds in 85 days. Keto is giving me amazing results both on the scale and various NSVs. 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerThese pants that I bought not even a month ago, that were a perfect fit on my waist are now too big! They keep on falling and the legs are so baggy now that it’s ridiculous. There are definitely many positives to losing weight but one negative is needing to buy new clothes all the time. These keto results are amazing though. 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerSuper psyched to finally try this. I’ve heard only good things. But, I feel like I get to go see Willy Wonka because I found a golden ticket 😂😂See this image largerSee this image largerToday has been a stressful day, so I’ve been trying to look at the positives. And a major positive is my downward weight trend. 45.5 pounds in about 90 days thanks to keto 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerThere are days where I forget to take meat out and it’s not thawed by the time I’m ready to eat. This is exactly why I keep some frozen meals at home that fit into my goals. Beef and broccoli in a Merlot sauce this time. It’s actually delicious and fits into my macros perfectly. 💪🏻See this image largerMy fasting numbers and calorie averages for the week. The calories are definitely in a better place than last week and my fasting numbers are on point 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerI was craving something protein heavy today. So I’m having 4 oz of thin roast beef and I melted some provolone inside. So delicious and definitely hit the spot.See this image largerMeal 2 is a delicious stir fry with pork, cabbage and a teaspoon of soy sauce. It’s so good and definitely fits my cravings for Asian food. 🤤See this image largerEnding numbers for today aren’t too bad. 💪🏻💪🏻 I’m feeling some cravings today because I have a lot of down time until after Thanksgiving. So I’m increasing my water and electrolytes.See this image largerSee this image largerI was craving pizza, so I made some mini Canadian bacon pizzas. 6 slices of Canadian bacon, 1.5 oz of cheese and some Italian seasoning. 🤤See this image largerI had a long and stressful day/week, so I wanted something comforting. For me, Asian food is extremely comforting. Normally I’d get a ton of carb heavy food but not these days. Some keto friendly beef and broccoli. 🤤See this image largerBroke my fast with a delicious turkey and cheese plate 🤤🤤 Deli turkey, cheddar and provolone cheese. I was planning to fast for 24 hours but needed to eat at 22.5 hours so I put together this delicious plate. Tons of protein here, which is exactly what I needed.See this image largerThanksgiving meal 2 for us today. I loaded up on the turkey and cheese, as it was the only keto friendly option available for me. 2 plates worth of turkey and cheese 🤤 It’s always encouraging to be able to just put on any clothing and have it look nice. This shirt is an 18/20 and I started in a 24/26 only 3 months ago. My aunts all commented on how great I look. I feel a lot thinner lately and it’s great hearing these comments from them 😁See this image largerFasting numbers for the week are on point 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerSee this image largerDelicious wings for lunch 🤤🤤 Coated with mild taco sauce and dipped in this delicious quest blanco dip. They definitely hit the spot and only 3g of carbs total for this. I’m trying to keep working hard. I weigh-in tomorrow and measurements will be coming in the next few days 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerHad an amazing weigh-in and it shows how well I’ve done over the holidays! 6.5 pounds lost in the past 2 weeks and 52 pounds lost total! That’s insane, honestly. I’ve changed my weight by 14.1% since August 21st. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerSee this image largerSince it’s December, I took my measurements this morning and I’m down 7.5 inches this month! That’s amazing and done without any exercise. 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerEven though I’ve been struggling a lot lately, I did have a NSV this morning that put things into perspective for me. I am able to sit with my legs crossed in the car again 😁See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerI have a lot of things I want to accomplish in the coming year. I have about 100 pounds left to lose and I’d like to lose at least of that in this coming year. I also want to get control of my diet and fitness routine. Overcoming my eating disorder and other mental health concerns is the one of the biggest things that I am trying to accomplish. I can do this 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerMy calories today are way too low. I’m trying to get the hang of eating enough, especially now that I’m working out. It’s something my dietician and I have been working on for months. If I’m not binging, I’m not eating enough. Oh the joys of my ED. Tomorrow I’ll try to get more calories in, hopefully closer to 1500.See this image largerI had to cut my workout a little short because my heart rate was higher than it should have been. But I still got a solid 40 minutes done and almost 400 calories burned 💪🏻💪🏻 Finally, it’s time to relax after a long and stressful week.See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerNumbers were pretty much spot on today 💪🏻 My third meal was delicious too, 2 oz of cream cheese sweetened with a few tablespoons of stevia and some mint extract, topped with a few chopped walnuts and a little whipped cream. It definitely fulfills a cheesecake craving but with only a few grams of carbs.See this image largerSee this image largerLast workout of the night 💪🏻 I tried out Fitness Boxing for the Nintendo Switch and it was amazing. I love boxing/kickboxing so I was psyched when I saw this game was coming out. I love this game and will be doing it again tomorrow, it’s a great calorie burn too. 71 minutes of exercise total today and around 600 calories burned 💪🏻 Plus I stayed keto today, so it’s been a great day.See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerKiller workout this morning 💪🏻💪🏻This fitness boxing definitely gets my heart rate up and burns a ton of calories. It’s my go to when I want to get a good burn but don’t have as much time. 40 minutes and 442 calories burned 💪🏻 A fantastic way to end this week. And overall it’s been a good week. I’m going to work even harder this next week. My next weigh-in is on the 19th and I’m hoping for some good results 💪🏻See this image largerSince it’s Sunday, it’s time to check-in with my monthly goals. Most of my goals are going well but I won’t be staying keto 95% of the time this month. Oh well, I’m happy with the rest though. I’m altering one of the goals though to eating at least 1500 calories each day. Now that I’m working out regularly, my body needs the added nutrients. Here’s to another good week!See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerKilled my workout this morning! 💪🏻 My stamina has been fairly low when it comes to walking, so my goal today was to go as long as I could without feeling lightheaded. Lately, I’ve only been about to walk 30 minutes before that happened but today was different. I was able to walk a 5K, which hasn’t happened since January 12th and today I didn’t feel lightheaded at all. I’m tired but feeling great. And almost 550 active calories burned? Yes please! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerMy husband decided to take me out for breakfast after we got groceries. So, I broke my fast a lot earlier than expected but I kept it keto. Sausage and cheddar omelette with some bacon on the side. And a bunch of coffee. Today I have off, so I’m going to lay down for a bit before I get a session of boxing in. I’m planning on doing some lower body and abs as well. I’m determined to see a great result when I see the dietician on Monday. 💪🏻See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerI wanted to sit and relax with my coffee to start my Saturday morning but I didn’t want to give myself the opportunity to give an excuse to not workout. So, I busted out a workout before having coffee. I did something simple, walking with some weights, 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off. 30 minutes and 329 calories. 💪🏻💪🏻 I’m feeling fantastic and now it’s time for a little relaxation before I start the rest of my day.See this image largerSee this image largerDay 2 of being back on track was a success and my numbers were almost spot on 💪🏻💪🏻 Unfortunately, the keto flu has hit me again now that I’m back to eating low carb. So, I’ll be starting to up my electrolytes tonight already. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it under control before it gets too bad.See this image largerKiller workout this morning 💪🏻💪🏻 60 minutes and 664 calories burned. I’m exhausted but feeling strong and ready to take on the rest of the day.See this image largerSee this image largerMy calories were a bit low today but other than that, I’m pretty happy with my numbers for today. Day 3 of being back on track was a success! Here’s to day 4 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerMy delicious grocery haul for the week. Cabbage slaw for some stir fry and Caesar salads, bacon, Too Good yogurt, strawberries, cashews, coffee, and a box of Atkins peanut butter cups for a little treat. This supplements the chicken, ground beef, and burger patties from the freezer, along with some frozen cauliflower and Caesar dressing I already have at home. I’m all ready for the week now and it’s time to get a workout in. Never skip a Monday 💪🏻See this image largerYou know the boxing session was intense when your arms and legs are shaking at the end of it. 45 minutes and 500 calories later, my workout is complete. 💪🏻💪🏻 I’m exhausted but feeling strong after my fasted boxing session. Now it’s time to get ready for the rest of my day and definitely having some coffee soon.See this image largerTime for my second meal of the day. 6 oz of ham and 1 c of green beans with a little butter. I’m feeling really hungry today and that’s probably because I’ve been working out hard lately and not eating a ton. Hopefully, loading up on protein in this meal and meal 3 will help curb this hunger.See this image largerI feel like I’m splurging with this 3rd meal but it fits perfectly into my macros 😍 2 containers of Too Good Greek yogurt (strawberry and mixed berry), 2T sugar free chocolate chips, 1 oz peanuts, 1 oz cashews, and 110 g of strawberries. These strawberries that I bought today were all huge and they are absolutely delicious. I’m definitely happy with this meal 🤤See this image largerI did a workout before going to the doctor and another one while my chicken was in the oven. Amazingly enough, my numbers were almost exactly the same for both workouts. They were both killer workouts and I’m feeling fantastic. Now it’s time to get ready for work while my chicken is cooling and then I’ll be making a chicken and cabbage stir fry.See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerWell a 5K happened this morning, accidentally. Almost 1000 active calories burned during this awesome workout. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerI haven’t made one of these in awhile. This beef egg roll bowl hit the spot. This meal definitely helps me to achieve my goals. 💪🏻See this image largerI did 2 workouts today, a short 11 minute tricep workout this morning and a 60 minute cardio workout this afternoon. I’m exhausted but feeling strong 💪🏻I see the dietician in Wednesday, so I’m definitely ready for my weigh-in.See this image larger💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerI finally saw the dietician today and my results were killer! I knew the lose would be high but not this high, 18lbs! Thank you low carb eating and exercise. 18 lbs in 17 days. I definitely shouldn’t be at such high of a loss in that time but I’m a work in progress. I’ve now almost lost all of the weight I had gained back, only 7 lbs to go. I’m feeling strong and amazing 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerKiller workout again today 💪🏻💪🏻62 minutes and 652 calories burned.See this image largerSee this image largerHappy Easter everyone! Just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean that it’s time to skip a workout. 60 minutes and 629 calories burned 💪🏻💪🏻 I won’t let this holiday derail my progress because I have goals. It’s delicious, filling and helps me to reach my goals 💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerI haven’t walked a 5K in awhile and it felt amazing to do one today. The last time I walked a 5K my time was a little less that 90 minutes, so even though I didn’t track my miles today, I’m assuming that it’s right around that number. 90 minutes, 938 active calories, and 8000 steps. This was definitely a good start to my morning. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerAnother great workout this morning, it was rough again since I’m sick but I got it done. 60 minutes and 620 calories burned. I tried to take it a little easier today since it’s hard to breathe. I still got it done and I feel great 💪🏻💪🏻 I have to work today from 10-330, so I’m eating now. I’m having a bacon egg roll bowl and this should fill me up until dinner. 🤤See this image largerSee this image largerSee this image largerMy love affair with cabbage continues 😍😍 😂😂These 5 bags will hopefully be enough for next week. I eat cabbage with at least 1 meal every day and sometimes 2. Definitely getting my veggies in with this. Now I’m off to workout and then get a head start on my grading for this weekend.See this image largerDecide to change up my routine a bit today. I did 40 minutes of walking and 16 minutes of dancing. A little over 500 calories burned during that time. 💪🏻💪🏻 Now I’m making some lunch and then time to enjoy the rest of my day.See this image largerI had a horribly stressful afternoon and that’s usually a time where I would binge. But I’m happy to say that today that did not happen! Today marks 22 days binge free! I was wanting something sweet though so I put together this delicious final meal. 1 oz of cashews, an Atkins protein bar, and a few low carb treats. This gives me the sweet taste I was looking for while giving me a bunch of protein. 🤤See this image largerThis workout was rough. I’ve been up since 230am because I couldn’t sleep, so I’m tired but I wasn’t going to use that as an excuse. I was able to get 70 minutes in and burned 566 calories. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Now I’m drinking 24 oz of coffee and hope for the best today. In a few hours I’ll make some food and load up on protein to help with recovering my muscles and then hopefully I’ll get some grading done today. My guys won’t be happy with me if I don’t.See this image largerLunch was definitely delicious. 4 oz burger with 1 oz cheddar and 2T sugar free ketchup. This morning I had very little energy and my legs were killing me from my workout yesterday. I pushed through though and put in an hour of hard work.
