My newest project. I'm still in the process of attaching the lower appliques- tricky with keeping them even! Coordinating robe and bonnet are next.

In 2 1/2 weeks there's a wedding scheduled here in Indiana, and we weren't sure we were going to have a bride. My daughter, a Marine, is stationed in California where the DOD issued an indefinite travel ban. As a Hail Mary pass she requested a waiver. We've been on pins and needles for weeks waiting for word. Yesterday her command had compassion and approved her leave to come home for the wedding.
Praising God- WE HAVE A BRIDE!
A photo from my youngest daughter's wedding on the 1st. It was a blessed day.
We had company from out of state for several days after that. I still feel like I'm recovering, honestly. There's just been so much to do! But as of the Wednesday after the wedding I have been doing well with my diet and exercise. 5 of the 6 pounds I gained are gone.
I have a ways to go to my ultimate ideal weight, but I'm working on getting there!
With my beautiful best friend of 28 years. She was the glue that made my daughter's wedding come together beautifully. She has been that girls Aunt Ann since the day she was born.
I'm not someone who makes close friends easily. I don't tend to be someone other women gravitate towards in the friendship department. She makes up for it. I'd rather have one true friend for 28 years than scores that leave after a short while.
With my 3-year old grandson Asher. #5 in the lineup of 6, so far, grandbabies.
November 2020.
Yesterday's workout. I put fast step-ups between back.sets to get a little cardio.
The numbers at the bottom? Warm-up, back w/ step-ups (interval training), shoulders/abs, and stretching.
My little home gym is a place of peace and re-centering in this crazy world.
With my youngest daughter on her wedding day.
Covid resulted in being out of the gym for almost a month. My breathing finally felt restored enough to get in a light lifting session. Will take a while to get my strength back, but glad to have done at least something!
First workout of the year is glutes, arms and abs!
it's unusual for me to work out on a Saturday, but I'm easing in after Covid, putting a day in between my lifting workouts. Next week I'll get back to my regular 4 days a week of lifting. Maybe I'll even add in a little cardio!
Breakfast:. Eggs on savory oats and chia.
Chest, arms, and abs this morning!![See this image larger]()

Found something pretty in Old Town Albuquerque yesterday. 😊

I did it! I made WW Lifetime! Again.
I am not done losing, but I am done paying!
I have about 15 pounds to go before I reach a truly healthy weight for my body. I am running far, far away from the diabetes and heart disease that runs in my family. But for now I am excited to be in the "normal" WW weight ange for my height..
So my marine has left for San Diego and the Marine Combat part of her Training. Mama plans to make goal (only 2 1/2 pounds away!) while she is gone. Watch me!
Go kick some backside, baby! You're going to do great.
(This photo is from my very amatuer photo session with them last week. They wanted me to do the engagement pics of them in uniform.)
Having a small engagement party here at the house for these two tonight! He proposed a week ago today, the same day she graduated Marine Corps Boot Camp. Family has been informed. This is the first public announcement I have made of it!
Waited 3 months to hug my new Marine.
Had a great 10 day vacation with this cutie of a grandson. Wonderful memories made!
Somehow I either maintained or lost half a pound. Not sure how that happened, as I wasn't definitely doing some indulging. I could analyze it, but instead I'll be grateful and move forward!
Came back today with a whole-body lifting routine. Felt good to be back in my gym!
She left for Marine Boot Camp yesterday. (She is the tall one in the back.) I got very little sleep last night waiting for her call, which came at 2:36 AM. I bawled like a baby when she hung up, then took a while to fall back to sleep.
I'm headed down to my basement gym get in a workout and then I have a massage scheduled this afternoon- A rare treat, but I'm trying to give myself a little nice to do every day.
My pretty youngest girl leaves for the Marine Corps in 2 days. Mama's struggling emotionally.

Happy in a stunned way to see I was under my next mini-goal of 165 this morning. And on the heels of a 10-day trip to Germany where my only goal was to eat in moderation.

Thought we lost our sweet boy today. My husband and I got good cardio workouts looking for him, but it was the neighbor who finally found him, lost and shaking.
