Whoa... Where'd April Go?

It's May! Wow. The year is just flying by so fast!!!

I'm glad I'm able to make more positive changes this year and with the help of SP (and all you wonderful people) more and more of them are sticking. It's sometimes overwhelming, but when it works I feel GREAT. When it doesn't, I'm learning that a "setback" depends on my own opinion and how it's handled is my decision alone.

Changing a comfortable, but unhealthy, lifestyle into a healthy, physical one takes time. In an instant gratification society, sometimes things taking awhile adds to frustration. I have to keep telling myself that one tiny step at time makes a huge difference over all.

I finally, FINALLY, started running again. It was harder than I thought it would be, but easier in a way as well. I'm hoping that every day will get me one step closer to my goals... and I'm trying to focus on the smaller accomplishments. Getting out the door with my running shoes on IS an accomplishment. Even if I don't run for a full 30 minutes, even the walk/jog rotation helps me get in shape and makes me FEEL better.

We like feeling better. :o)

*holds up a glass of water* Here's to all of you out there celebrating even the smallest accomplishment!
