slight challenge

Today I was unable to workout today, because I had to get my boys to their last baseball game of the season. I am feeling a little off because of it, but I am definately going tomorrow.

I am down a total of 12 lbs since the beginning of the month, which is great. I have only lost 1 lb since I started on sparkpeople. I think my weight loss has slowed down a bit because I have added the exercise. I know I am building muscle, but it is still kind of discouraging. I just have to keep in mind how much better I have been feeling and picturing myself at my goal.

    Don't get frustrated. We will keep working.... I know.. I know.... I need to be at the gym with you to do that. Don't worry, now that the holiday weekend is past and baseball is over we will be on a steady schedule. Besides that first bit of weight was probably mostly water weight. SO..... now when you lose a pound or two you will KNOW it is fat. Woo Hoo! We both just need to stay focused on the finished line.

    Hey girl I'm the perfect case scenario for this "dilema"! For six months now i have been dong it right and have only lost five pounds How discouraging is that ya think! UNTIL I went shopping for clothes last week and got the shock of my life! YOWSERS You know what I found out I no longer fit 20-22 jeans but 17-18! and no longer do i fit 2 and 3x but Xl tops! SO get your measuring tape out! If you haven't measured yourself from the beginning do it now and if the scale still don't move after a week or two get the tape out again!

    You probably have lost inches as Bert said. Feeling great is the key. You are able to do more, running around with the boys hasn't tired you out as much, you are eating better, exercisng more and all around feel better. I say those are some great rewards. The scale may not be moving, but honey , you are :)
