Missing the sun!!!

Snow agian today!!! I can't wait until it warms up! There are some many things that I have been wanting to do since we have moved to Montana, but it's not warm enough outside yet!!! I can't wait to go hiking and bike riding with my family!!! Supposedly later on this week it's going to be in the 50's!! I am so excited b/c that's so much warmer than what it has been!

I am ready for spring weather!!!! I am so wanting the window opening fresh air days!!!!

I have been doing great with my workout routine. I did the crosstrainer/elliptical for 38 mins and on level 7. I was so excited!!! Then I did the treadmill for 2.5 miles. I couldn't run today. I think b/c I ran yesterday (.75mi without stopping) the weight of " me" put alot of stress on my shins. because today I went to start jogging, and MAN did it hurt!!!!

I guess my body is not used to all that running... I am trying to build up to 1 mile without stopping and then 2miles.

Well, I am just gibbering on here, so I'll let you back to what you were doing!!

    Hi, I found with running, when I first started, that once a week was enough for me. It is very intense to start out, and your body needs time to recover. When I had an intense run, the next day was a no run kinda day, just a walk day. I find that if I mix up my activities, my body craves the variety and I can perform each activity better with the change of pace in between. So, I ice skate for 45 minutes at a local arena on Monday and Friday, then do a 60 minute lower intensity walk on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, I clean my house and ride my stationary bike for 30 minutes. On Saturday I will either walk, or bike, would love to start roller blading, waiting for that sun here too! Then, on Sundays, I always run. I started small too, and added a bit more time each time. I am now committing a minimum of one hour to running on every Sunday to prepare for the 10K route of the Terry Fox Run in September. Also, it is imperative that you do a proper cool down and stretch after running! Anyway, enough rambling, good for you on increasing your endurance! Keep up the great work.

    Hi Chrissy! I'm from Montana too...born and raised, but I did have the pleasure of living in Texas for a few years. Moved back here about 6 years ago when my mom got sick. Even though I'm from here, I am missing the sun too. I was in your neck of the woods last weekend. My biz partner & I were in Great Falls for the Made in Montana Show (what fun!) and we got to drive both up and back in blizzards. Luckily it was decent while we were there. I want to know where that global warming stuff is...I'm ready for it!
    Anyway, welcome to Montana...you'll enjoy the summer, if it ever gets here! ha!
