The Answer is Pretty Obvious

I look at my record for the past two weeks.

APRIL RECORD
CALS/EXER MINS/WEIGHT CHANGE
UD 4/5 - 1239 / 0 / 0
DD 4/6 - 498 / 85 / -2
UD 4/7 - 1129 / 0 / -.5
DD 4/8 - 525 / 0 / -.5
WF 4/9 - 0 / 90 / -3.5
UD 4/10- 1285 / 0 / +.5
UD 4/11 - 1476 / 100 / 0
WF 4/12 - 0 / 120 / -1
FIRST WEEK LOSS: 7 POUNDS!
UD 4/13 - 1428/ 35/ 0
UD 4/14 1003/50 / 0
DD 4/15 KNEE INJURY & stopped logging
OP 4/16
OP 4/17
OP 4/18
OP 4/19
SECOND WEEK - REACQUIRED 2 POUNDS!

So, what it tells me is: when I follow my plan, stay within my ranges, log, and exercise, I do very well at losing weight. When I stop, I don't.

SOLUTION TO SUCCESSFUL WEIGHTLOSS:
FOLLOW Plan.
STAY within ranges.
LOG daily.
EXERCISE daily.

I read a blog entry by another Sparkgal, where she was saying that she always has reasons for falling off her diet, and I responded, me, too. I've felt that way for four days...been in a fairly serious depression for three of those days. Now it's time for me to get over it and move on. I read something this weekend about, what if you did everything you knew you were supposed to and kept yourself within range all the time...how long would it be before you were at goal? Then it asked me, well, when are you going to start doing that?

Exactly.

I'm sorry to hear about your struggle. How is the knee doing? Remember, even if all you can do is follow the nutrition plan, you'll still be on track when you get active again.

I really appreciate you stopping by my blog because I wouldn't have found out how you are eating. Question about the raw food - a little gas? I ask because the el dente Chinese veggies I made caused a little. I am thinking of doing UD DD to shake things up. All the best to you in your journey to better health.

Chilepalm, I too fight depression. I can feel when it's coming on and can usually minimize it's impact. My depressions come in cycles. For me, it is imperative that I spend time outside daily. The sun has a positive effect on my body. Also, force yourself to move. It somehow affects your chemical balances in your body. Good luck in this and thank you for being out there when we need encouragement. emoticon
