The Wagon Awaits!

Tuesday, May 05, 2009

It's official - I've fallen off the wagon for the first time this battle.... I actually slowed down and then stopped in my weight loss - even gained 2 lbs of my 25 back. I then did the dreaded "oh well". That led to a candy bar "because I'm still smaller than I started" and that led to a nap instead of exercise "because I'm really tired today" and so on until I realized that in about 1 week I was returning to all of my ugly old habits... you know the ones... the ones that will lead to gaining back one more pound at a time til I'm right back where I started - if not heavier.... I'm sure you recognize some of these:

no breakfast
bed time snack at 10:00
pop with lunch instead of water
not enough water
chocolate bar for afternoon snack

BUT! There is hope. I just read an article entitled 5 Secrets of the 5% . You can read it here http://www.sparkpeople.com/res
ource/wellness_articles.as
p?id=423

The article reminded me that even the most successful losers have setbacks. I am now ready to jump back on that wagon with both feet and pick up where I left off! You see, the wagon is always waiting - usually right where we left. So there my wagon sits. Ready to be ridden for another 50+ pounds!

All aboard!!!

Veronica, there is always HOPE and always know that we are there for you. Jump on the threads to say hello and to get even more support from the team.

Everyone falls of the wagon, you just have to find the will to jump right back on. Don't let it get away because it's still hanging around waiting for you.

    Best Wishes! emoticon

At least you realized it with only a 2 lb gain and not 20 like your Mom!

Get right back at it and I know you are as you were exercising with the Wii when we finished chatting.
