Why do they call you weird or crazy because you push to be your best?

I don't think that they mean any harm. ...or do they??

For some I am sure it is jealousy, not necessarily because of how I look but maybe more for the fact that I push myself to do the things they know they should do?! For others..the time I need to do these things interferes with their lives or things they want to do. Who am I talking about?? Those closest to me-but why? I am trying to lose weight so that I can be healthier and live longer (hopefully) and looking better-that is just the best plus that I can get from it!! emoticon

I am on a journey..first is to lose the excess weight that has brought me down for far too long-inside and out. With this being the start of my journey, I am going to have to work REALLY hard to drop the weight. Which will require me to work out 5-6 days a week and right now I am finishing up my 12th week of P90X so that has meant anywhere from an hour to and hour and a half a day, my day, our day. I TRY to get up at 4:15 in the morning to do it so that nobody has to alter their schedules (and why some say I am crazy for getting up that early). But most people I see that are successful at this-have to do this. Also sometimes I don't have a choice because that is really the only time of day I have because I leave for work at 7:30 get home around 5 then there is usually my sons' baseball or soccer practices/games to attend that I will not miss. Other days when the evenings are actually open- I work out as soon as I get home. Then my hubby who does the cooking also has to step up with the kids and their practices' so I can do this for us. Sometimes he resents it, says it is crazy or whatever, and other times he goes out of his way to help me to make the time and cook healthier for me as well-although he says I am still weird. emoticon

I am about to start Chalean Extreme and the workouts are about 1/2 the time and as of right now..he WANTS to cook my meals according to the plan to help me succeed since he sees that I REALLY want this and it is not just a phase. So,,, we will see what my future holds. I will post pictures of my success as well!.

As far as my friends...maybe I can encourage or motivate them to get moving as well instead of them criticizing me in the friendly way they do, we will see!

Thanks for listening to my ramblings!!

If there's one thing I've learned in life it's that people are quicker to judge and critisize than to encourage and reflect on their own life. In your friends' case they're reflecting their own thoughts about themselves and projecting them on to you. During this fragile time as you are trying to make positive changes, it can be really hard to be around those that are not supporting your efforts. Try to find things that they enjoy doing that you have time for and just enjoy those moments. There is nothing wrong with doing something good and healthy for yourself.

I definitely hear you. My family (my Mom and sister) mainly think I and my other sister focus too much on working out. I, like you, do it in the morning but I only have to get up at 6 and sometimes that is challenging the fact that you are getting up at 4:30 is amazing and really shows you are going to get there!!! Great Job!!! It is wonderful that your hubby is willing to cook for you in a healthy way. My husband for the first time this year has been so much more supportive and has even been doing the Chalean Extreme with me. Not at the same time, but we are on the same phases.

    Keep up the Great Job!!!!!
