My fit foods

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

I'd noticed the place last week when I was driving home, thinking this is a place I need to check out.

The next morning in my inbox I see a coupon: $40 worth of food for $15. It was Kismet! So I purchased the coupon, but didn't get a chance to go by there right away.

I went in there this evening on the way home. On the left are wall to wall refrigerator cases with fresh prepared food in containers, small, medium and large sizes. There are breakfasts, healthy carb meals for daytime eating and healthy low-carb meals for evening eating. Apparently it can't/shouldn't be frozen, so I picked up one low-carb and one carb meal for tomorrow. I'll do my own thing for breakfast.

So tomorrow's lunch is lean lemon turkey - lean ground turkey breast seasoned just right, served on a bed of low glycemic rice and topped with fresh asparagus spears. I'm very, very curious.....

If these are good, what a great solutions for those evenings when I'm in a rush!

It's pricey, of course, but not outrageous once in a while.

What a find! I wish they had something like here in MA. We have a Trader Joe's, but their prepared foods are always super healthy.

It's called "my fit foods"! It's in Houston. And yes, you go online and there is a nutrition chart for each size of each dish!
