Little change-feels good

I've been walking with a friend on separate treadmills in separate houses. I love my uninterrupted time talking with my friend. It is a great way to start the day. But, my treadmill is not going very fast these days. I need to replace it. Plus I don't have the time to get my entire walk done before I have to drive my boys to an early morning seminary class.

So I am walking with another friend after everyone gets off to school. I have been getting over 6,000 steps before my breakfast. It is great. I am easily getting more than 10,000 the couple of days that I have been doing it.

I am feeling good about this new habit.

I will have to do Walk away the pounds or something when the weather turns and my friend does not want to walk in the rain.

    I find I have to be creative with how I get my exercise in around my children's schedules. I walk while my son is at early morning seminary. I schedule a few major work outs a week with friends so I feel more commited to be there and do it. etc. It takes me all days with stuff here and there to get it all in.

    I love walking. It's great and I feel so good when I'm done. If I don't walk, like today I feel like something is missing. Although I did a lot of steps walking the mall and walmart.
