A Prayer for the families in Fort Hood

A Gentle Presence by Lori Eberhardy

I know your spirit can hear me
so I hold your hand and tell you I am here.
I encourage you to be strong.
I pray for you every night and you are
in my thoughts every day.
You are teaching me patience and
helping me to be more faithful.
I know at times you do not feel close to God,
and your life's hardships
have left you questioning His love for you.
But God has chosen you.
He is using you to educate, to enlighten,
and to remind us not to take life for granted.
Remember that hope is what will sustain you
and faith will always set you free.
God is working miracles through you
so be still and listen.
Surrender to His power and once you let go,
the healing process will begin.

Absolutely beautiful! Where did you find it?

Those words are beautiful. For 8 of the 18 years we were in military we were stationed at Hood. I know all those places and have been there many times. My heart goes out to those who were killed or injured.
