“In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free. The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”- Psalm 118:5-6
Paul wrote to the Galatians, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" (5:1). In our Lord and Saviour we will find freedom. A freedom that we need not fear because He is there with us through all that we do. Yes Jesus is there to trade yokes with us. Just as He voluntarily took the judgement meant for us, he will take our burdens today leaving us with his. Or if you will as the poet wrote, in the Footprints poem: The single set are mine when I was carrying you.
To succeed we need to put our burdens at the foot of the cross, and leave them there for the Lord to handle. Don't pick it back up, leave it there. Then walk away, don't look back, don't look for them when you return to leave others. Just simply walk, jog, run, bike, yoga, pilates, whatever you want just make sure it is away.
