Stretching

Yes, I do my stretches after exercising, and they really help. But stretching is metaphorical too. I've learned to stretch myself with this blog. I had no idea how interesting and emotional and eyeopening it would be to put my thoughts out in public this way. Just the thought of doing that has stretched my sense of self, my concept of who I am, and my understanding of what is necessary to get where I want to be.
I'm also happy to report that I had no ill effects from my ten-minute exercise excursion yesterday, and I plan to do another ten minutes today, right after I get off SparkPeople. I realized later that what I did was not actually cardio. It was more like a very mild warm-up. But that warm-up---just like this blog---was just what I needed before starting the real heavy lifting. So, ten minutes of warm-up again today. Now that's a plan!!!!
