Thought on Spark Coaches blog, "Guilty Pleasures of the Spark Coaches."

Saturday, March 20, 2010

If you have not had the opportunity to read the blog created by our fantastic coaches, I encourage you to read what they have to say about basically, everything in moderation, including moderation itself. The blog title is "The guilty pleasures of our spark coaches" or something like that. You will find it under the category, "MOTIVATION" articles. I appreciated it; the article confirmed we need not beat ourselves up when we take a day off or enjoy that piece of pizza or dish of ice cream.

Thank goodness because I had another piece of pizza today at the Gigantic Library Used Book Sale. We did very well considering everything sales at either 25- or 50 cents. We have raised $1,350 so far. Tomorrow we will continue our effort but it gets better for the customer; everything goes for $1.00 per plastic grocery bag. Yup, fantastic deal. So by the end of Sunday, just about everything ought to be gone and we ought to make another $300.00 (hopefully) With the continued cutbacks in library funding for the outreach programs, it is important that we try to raise as much as possible to help insure the continuance of at least some of the programs.

Everyone had a great time; volunteers and book buyers alike.I was in constant motion for 7 hours. I "think" I got an adequate amount of exercise in. My legs are noodles. No I couldn't go for that walk with DH and Penny Dog like I had hoped.

I sure hope my weigh in on Monday shows a 2-pound weight loss. That is my goal and I will be happy.

I wish everyone well and hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Hugs, Rusty

Good luck with the library sale. Your work there is so important in these times of tight budgets. I would say working on your feet all day qualifies as exercise for sure.

I can relate to the "noodle legs"... I feel the same way after a busy night on the floor at work!

Good Luck w/ the rest of your sale!

That's a lot of books! We love our library bookstore volunteers - We donated 15-20 boxes of books this past year (& constantly collect more), then shop in the store almost weekly. So, we know how important what you do is. Thank you!!!
