Humane Society K-9 Fun Run

Before the run



The starting line. We weren't scheduled to do the competitive run. We signed up for the run/walk that followed.



Sophie had other ideas. About 15 seconds after the start of the competitive run, I found myself flying behind Sophie, following the pack. Sophie zig-zagged the entire mile, running twice the distance. She greeted every photographer along the way.



Sitting down for a brief rest after a job well done. Our time for 1 mile: 10:22, and that includes the 15 seconds we spent at the start before Sophie decided we had to get going.




Sophie has requested a harness lead so that she can run with me more often.
