Inching along

Woohoo! Weighed in at 165 today. I'm trekking along. I realized a few minutes ago that I'm 2 pounds away from the lowest weight A has ever seen me at. Of course, *I* don't remember being under that... I think the last time I saw the 150s (or 161 pounds) was in high school. My blog posts are going to make me appear bipolar, but that thought (which I happened to ignore yesterday) makes me practically giddy. Every time I gain weight -- even, like this year, if it is only about 2-3 pounds, my brain resets into the mode I was in two years ago. I forget that the month or year before, I thought getting to this weight was remarkable, that I was feeling confident... I go back to feeling like the girl I was 40 pounds ago. So to realize that I'm a week or two away from the smallest I've been in my adult life -- that's pretty exciting!

So some successes to remind myself of the good:
* Ordering a size 14 bridesmaid's dress for my friend's wedding in August because the 16 (they didn't actually have a 14 in the shop) was too big. A year ago, I was working to lose weight to get the size 16 dress for my sister's wedding to zip all the way.
* Not eating a single chip from the appetizer that my family ordered at dinner last night. While eating just a few would have fit into my calorie range, I decided that I didn't REALLY want them.
* Uh, being 3 pounds away from the lowest weight in my adult life =0)
* Not weight related, but I'm pretty excited about marrying the best man in the world in 3 weeks and 6 days!!!
