Catching Up

I have to comment on the fabulous meal we had at Capitol Garage on Monday. We had a coupon, which offered a pitcher of beer or a bottle of wine and two entrees for $29.95. The food was wonderful and well-proportioned. I'm sure we could have done without the beer, but it did add value to the coupon.
We were less-taken with the intern production of Space Grrls at the B Street that same evening. The storyline was simple, but they could have done so much more to engage the audience. We ended up leaving during intermission; neither of us caring how it ended.
On Tuesday we watched Nowhere in Africa. It's an award winning foreign film set during WWII. We generally analyze character motivation, plots, etc. after we watch a film like this. Somewhere in my analysis, I'd made a comment about the wife's cheating (although she did it to gain something for her husband,) but I coupled that comment with another based on her generally negative treatment of her husband.)
This morning, my sweetie told me that he loves me so much, that it would be ok with him if I ever cheated. He continued to say that he didn't think I could do anything that would change the way he feels about me. You have to realize that this is the same man who early on in our relationship made it very clear that he could tolerate cheating.
I think that this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.
