Yard Work 101

Monday, July 26, 2010

Two days of intense yard work tearing out old and dying shrubs and hauling the lot to the street. I am whipped. I have bruises, welts and scratches. It looks like I got into a fight with a mean tom-cat and he got the best of me. Oddly enough I feel great! I feel like I can do so much more than I could before and I feel stronger and quite frankly I am invincible!

Thanks Spankpeople. You have it right. It is not about perfection it is about ten minutes of exercise at a time and from there the world opens up before you.

Good for you! If you're in Saint Paul, I could use some help doing the same to my yard! I keep saying I'm waiting for low humidity and cooler days....but we tend to go straight from summer to winter.

I have plenty of shrubs, lilac bushes, grape vines, etc that are overgrown and untended. I am, however, feeling much like you, that once I start it, I will FINALLY be able to tackle it and feel so much better about it!
