Day of Reckoning!
Monday, September 20, 2010
This weekend was my 52nd birthday and I sat down and took a good hard look at my general fitness and nutrition program. I know that I have slacked off on me and know what I need to do to get back on track! No, I haven't gained any weight per se, but I have lost some of my muscle strength as well as that spring in my step that seems to come from those added endorphins.
I want to lay blame on "the move." Well, that's done. My treadmill was in storage ... but it is sitting right there in the extra bedroom all primed and ready to go ... courteous of the technician I paid to put it back together, calibrate it and replace any parts that needed to be replaced.
I also want to lay blame on the fact that I am getting older ... "POO" we all get older, but if I want to get older without the added "benefits of pain and suffering" then I need to get on that treadmill and get busy!
And, I also want to lay blame on "not having enough time to exercise and to eat right!"
Day of Reckoning! Epiphany! (I don't care what you want to call it!) But, the plain and simple truth is that all those excuses got me to 280 pounds and I ain't goin' back!
Solution: Get off your danged butt, Duck, and shake those tail feathers!
