This blog should be sub-titled "Redemption Blog"- with Bob Marley singing in the background. I have to say the past couple of weeks it has really been hard for me to get back on track with the healthy life style routine of: exercising, counting calories and Sparking.
I do feel bad about getting lax with Sparks because I am on two challenges and I haven't contributed a lot lately. One of them I am a co-leader-actually I am c0-leader for the team I am writing this blog for
. Sorry Losing Ladies!!!
At first I thought it was the colder weather or the days getting darker longer that was hindering me but I know it was just an excuse I used to cover up the re-emergence of my bad habits. I definitely think the cooler weather did have a little effect but not to the point that I am off track for so long.
I really do have a love/hate relationship with exercise but in the end I always feel better and I have a better mood throughout the day. This morning I went to a Zumba class and had so much fun. I learned a new dance called the "Wobble" which I know is old but I am always a year or 2 in everything. Here is the link to the dance: www.youtube.com/watch?v=
Also, this week I went to a bellydancing class which could really be fun but it is at 7:30 pm and I am usually tired after work. Anyway, it has been moved to Saturday so I probably will enjoy it more now.
However, I haven't really been going to the gym. I have to face it that for me to really start losing weight- I need to do cardio on a daily basis- two days just don't cut it. Plus, I really need to start tracking my food.
Also, I need to get back to sparking. So hopefully this week, I will make a more conscious effort to focus on sparking and improve on my exercise schedule.
This week, I had a salad for dinner for 3 days without any meat. On Sunday, I had lunch out and chose a veggie pasta dish- instead of the Meat Lover's pizza which is what I really wanted.
Bonus: I went to a Zumba class this morning and I attended a Bellydancing class on Tuesday evening.
