Wintertime motivation - take two.

Wintertime sucks! :)
Its cold, its icy, there is no sun, and there is nooooo motivation! Wintertime in past years has been a difficult time for me in my struggle with depression and obesity. Last year however, when I was at my absolute lowest, my lovely friend Megan asked me to workout with her because she knew I really wanted to get better but needed help and she wanted to start feeling healthier herself. So, we worked out together all winter. In fact, it was partnering up with her that truly got me started on this journey.
As winter turned into spring and then spring into summer, my Megan lost her motivation while I continued strong...
Now winter is back and I know that I need the help to get through it again and be successful. I know also that Megan, while cheering me on, has wanted to get back into the swing of things so I asked her if she would be down for giving it another go this year. To my great joy she said YES!! She has new motivation this time around, her wedding is in September and she wants to be the bride of her dreams, and I know she can get there! We are going to create charts, and give each other stickers (real life goodies), and do whatever it takes to keep things fun and fresh, and especially keep us motivated.
I know what I need to be a success and I have learned that you need to go after what you want and you need to make what you need happen! You need to have the right frame of mind and you need to have people around you who will support and encourage you. Megan and I work well together and I believe that with her new found motivation and my more advanced health related experience, we will be a success this year again, better than last year!
I love sparkpeople and the support system I have here, but none of you can come over and make me workout on the days where I'm feeling lazy, Megan can! And, I can do the same for her. Our weight loss goals are similar this time around also so it will be nice to have someone at the same weight as me, more or less, working on their health with me.
I am starting my ChaLEAN Extreme over again so that Megan and I can begin it together and run the entire 12 week series. Then we will look at Turbo Fire or Turbo Jam depending on where we are. I'm really excited to start this with her tomorrow. She is awesome to workout with and I believe she can make her goals this time, she does too!
This is going to be another successful winter. Its going to be cold, and icy, and I better buy some sweaters because I am going to shrink my way through the season again! Winters from now on are just another challenge, instead of something I dread and try to sleep through.
