Time to get off the sweet stuff
Thursday, January 20, 2011
After starting on Spark, and sticking with the program for a little over two weeks, it has become clear to me that I have a serious problem with my sweet tooth. I crave sweets...ALL the time.
Sure, most of the time I manage to keep my calories in check, but I cannot seem to get through one meal without something sugary. I have stocked up on "diet" desserts, and I am pretty good about having one little piece and stopping. But why oh why can't I make it through even half a day without getting some sugar (or sugar substitute)?!?
Every day when I run my nutrition report it is clear that my protein and fat are at the low end of the range and my carbs are always at the high end of my range. Sometimes I tell myself "well, tomorrow, you are not having any sweets at all!" and then around lunch the next day I am REALLY struggling and dessert is all I can think about.
How do I break this addiction? I seem to have tackled portion control very well, and reducing fat and calories wasn't a problem, but I hate that I cannot seem to get through a day with out dessert.
Somebody tie me down and put the 100 calorie cupcake packs out of my reach!!!
