More problems it seems~

Tuesday, May 03, 2011

As many of you know I lost sight in my right eye because the doctor cut my eye during cataract surgery. I found out later that he quit doing surgery because of his tremors. Anyway, yesterday I woke up with some matter in my bad eye. I wiped it away but within an hour or so my eye got much worse. I went to the eye doctor and she's not quite sure what it is but thinks it's pink eye. There are two types, viral and bacterial and she couldn't determine which it was. I had taken out my fake eye yesterday because it was uncomfortable to wear it. This morning I woke up and my eye is swollen quite a bit. My hubby is still trying to get rid of the shingles in his eye so we are two one-eyed Jacks, hehe

So sorry Bug.....I know when I had the hemorrhage in my right
eye, you were the first person I thought of...scared me...
I am in agreement with karlew, maybe it is some kind of allergy
although one of the guys in Davids' Vietnam vets got pinkeye
    the week before the tornadoes.

    Loveya and getwellsoon,

My husband lost his eye in 1987. He started getting a lot of "matter" in his socket (he calls it eye snot, nice eh) Turns out it was allergies to smoke and dust. When he's in smokey rooms or dusty places usually the next morning his eye is swollen and red and wearing the glass eye is uncomfortable. Have you seen an allergist?
