An Update On Me

Wednesday, May 04, 2011

I was challenged to a blog and I think it's a good way to get me back on the site, so here goes...
Finals end tomorrow. I know I did terribly in one class (my own fault completely), but I still have a good chance of making decent grades in the rest.
I decided against summer classes to work on planning the wedding and doing a few craft shows.
I saw a psychiatrist a few days after my last blog and was put on a cocktail of medications. Prozac and Abilify in the morning, Klonopin and Trazadone at night. I have a love/hate relationship with the Prozac and Abilify. I'm not necessarily happier, but my energy is through the roof and I've never been so productive. The Klonopin seems to help calm my OCD thoughts and helps a little with my anxiety. The Trazadone makes me miss Ambien to be honest. I take it when I can't fall asleep, and it definitely knocks me out, but I don't sleep more than 4-6 hours and I feel like I'm drunk the next day. I've decided to only take it on days I know I have NOTHING to do the next day.
The HVAC unit finally got fixed (it took 2 months!), but it's going to be good to have when the temperatures get any higher.
I've lost about 3 lbs of the weight I gained back. Not incredible, but it's something.
The transition to the new store at work went alright, but they're not getting anywhere near the business they expected to so hours have been cut like crazy.
I made my first etsy sale! Maybe one day I can craft for a living. Wouldn't that be amazing?
I've gotten everything together to start Couch to 5K again, I've just got to get the motivation to get out of my house.
I have a busy few weeks ahead but not having school will give me more time to calm down, which I think I really need.
How are you guys?

Glad to see you back and happy you're feeling better. Doing well over here on a "The Spark" inspired 100 day 10 minute exercise streak. Love etsy and I think it is totally doable for you to craft for a living people do it everyday. Be consistent, share your product at flea market's, local sells, make youtube videos about what you're doing and get involved in the crafting and entrepreneur community online and you could totally find your niche and be making a solid living crafting in 3-5 years (the normal time it takes to build a profitable small business with low overhead.) Thanks for sharing your progress!
