Mother's Day update
Monday, May 09, 2011
I had such a great day! We attended a confirmation service and then the
reception. Very good food, veggies, cake and ice cream. I enjoyed sitting down
to eat the meal and visit, a little out of the norm when I am usually hosting and
making sure all the guests are taken care of. It was relaxing and I kept an eye
on all the little one running around and having fun.
After we came home, I was really considering taking a nap. But I had blueberries
to plant, flowerbeds to spade and till so I gathered up the needed equipment
and moved outside. I did acquire some black soil from the next door neighbors.
They had a huge pile there to finish landscaping around their new home. DS
brought the wheelbarrow from the farm and I loaded up twice to fill in the
areas that needed it. I will have to get more tonight. DH has almost finished
tilling the rest of the garden so I will be planting something tonight.
Some of the tomatoes and cabbage are in the ground so I hope the wind
will subside before they get too battered.
We sold all the billies yesterday. The young man was paying a good price
and he even took the littlest ones. Now I will be milking all 3 goats for a
couple of weeks.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! It is the start of a new week so
enjoy and stay on track. Thanks for reading and commenting. HUGS!
