Day 24 of Bootcamp

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Taylor had her end of the year concert tonight. Well, more like all afternoon. :P She gets community service hours for working the event as well, so she was there from 3:30 till around 8:45. I guess it was during the dinner that she played her solo and quartet, so I didn't get to see that. Its videotaped though, so I'll get to see it.

The concert went well. It was huge! They did 6th graders first, then 7th and 8th, with the high school going last. Usually its pretty painful sitting through the middle school portions, but they all did a pretty good job this year. And the high school sounded better than they ever have. Taylor was so excited, because her first teacher, who went back to school 2 years ago to get his masters, came to the concert. She was beaming! I know exactly how she was feeling. My first band director moved when I was a sophomore, and he came back for my senior concert, and it meant the world to me. Her teacher said he'd come back in 3 years to see her final concert too.

For the workout today, I doubled up on both videos. Today was lower body for SIS and upper body for 28-Day. It went really well! I even almost kept up both times with those dreaded tricep dips with the chair! Okay, so I do them with my hands on the arms instead of the seat, but its better than not doing them at all.

Now I'm getting ready to do a few miles of Leslie Sansone. Gotta get my cardio in! I'd like to have a little more progress next week than I did this week. I'm hoping the slow down was because of that time of the month. I guess I'll find out next Monday! I'm trying to stay within all my nutrition ranges, but I'm still struggling with getting enough calories and lowering my carbs. I used to eat junk for every meal and even I know I shouldn't have 60% carbs. :P Its not like I'm training for a marathon!

Alright, let me get my butt off this chair and start walking. Have a great night everyone!
