The weekends too few calories; the weekdays are too many

I've been tracking food for close to a month now. I'm surprised that I struggle to get to 1200 calories on Saturday and Sunday, but struggle to stay under 1600 on the weekdays.
The weekdays are usually spent in front of my computer at work and the culprit are the nuts I keep for a snack. I keep them to avoid the many cakes and cookies that are frequently around here. We do a lot of catering.
I'm not as hungry or surrounded by junk on the weekends. I tend to not want a snack.
Just an observation.
