The weekends too few calories; the weekdays are too many

I've been tracking food for close to a month now. I'm surprised that I struggle to get to 1200 calories on Saturday and Sunday, but struggle to stay under 1600 on the weekdays.

The weekdays are usually spent in front of my computer at work and the culprit are the nuts I keep for a snack. I keep them to avoid the many cakes and cookies that are frequently around here. We do a lot of catering.

I'm not as hungry or surrounded by junk on the weekends. I tend to not want a snack.

Just an observation.

    I like the idea of adding replacing nuts with veggies. Even only a couple times a week should make a 300 calorie difference. Can't do fruit -- too high in sugar.

    I'm usually the opposite. I find I have more to do on weekdays so I don't have the time to snack as much as weekends when I'm just more relaxed and the food is there

    I seem to have the opposite problem ;)
    Maybe you should switch out the nuts, and replace them with fresh cut fruit and veggies. They save me during the day!
